Managing your ads – made easy - simples!

The brightsparks at AdTrader have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to manage your ads online, but there are occasions when even the savviest of online users have problems. As such, here lieth a quick & easy guide to managing your online ads.
NB. It is important to note before we start that ads placed over the telephone or by email cannot be managed online, as they won’t appear in you’re My Ads listing.
How to manage your adverts:-
  • Once placed your advert goes live immediately*, however there is a short time between placing the advert and being able to edit the advert (this allows us to verify the advert).
  • During this time your advert will be displaying the message “(Subject to Approval)” and no active edit button will be displayed.
  • Come back to your advert later refresh (press F5) your screen and the View Live Ad / Edit / Delete links should all then be available to you.  You can now go onto edit your advert.
  • Pictures can be changed, and wording can be amended – don’t forget to check your spelling!
  • All the changes that you make will be sent onto the publication, there is no need to contact them separately. However you must make sure that you have edited the PUBLICATION wording as this is the part of the advert that is actually printed. (In the yellow box).
  • The Edit link will not be available to you if no longer have any bookings left; in this case your advert will only be open to Rebook.
  • Click the Quick Rebook and the same advert will be rebooked in a flash.
  • Click the Rebook link and you can go through the Place Ad Process again making changes as you go.
  • Delete items that have been sold by using the Delete button, this will immediately remove the advert from the website.
  • However ads already gone off to print cannot be deleted from the paper! (Harry Potter doesn’t work here).
  • NOTE - You won’t be able to delete ads that haven’t yet been verified, come back later and this link will be available to you.
*In some cases ads are held longer in the verification process and do not go live immediately.
