The horse alphabet!

A is Appaloosa with a colourful coat
B is for Bay Mare, Broodmares and black horses of course
C is for Chestnut, both cobs and colts
D is for Dutch warmblood intelligent and eager to please
E is for Endurance –not for the faint hearted
F is for Fell Ponies, the trekkers’ best friend
G is for Gelding, enough said I think
H is for Hanoverian powerful and proud
I is for Irish Sports horse – a bookies delight
J is for Jutland, or jumping, whichever you prefer
K is for Knabstrupper a ringmasters delight
L is for the Lipizzaner Horse, noble and elegant
M is for mare, the mother of them all.
N is for the New Forest Pony British born and bred
O is for Other breeds that I might have forgotten
P is for Palomino, piebald or polo ponies for sale
Q is for Quarter horse, the cowboys dream
R is for racing the sport of Kings
S is for Shetland the oldest breed of all
T is for Thoroughbred – blue blood through and through
U is for Ukrainian Saddle Horse, no I didn’t make that up!
V is for eVenting, all good fun
W is for Warmblood or Welsh Section A - C
X if for Xilingol – or x breed, whichever you prefer
Y is for Young stock – best place to start
Z us for blaZe as every horse knows.
