Horsey Dilemmas

Owning a Pony - every little Girls dream!
But – it could turn into an expensive nightmare (no pun intended). There are several things to factor into your decision before you take the plunge and buy a horse or pony. The best thing to do is list the pros and cons.
Cons
Do you have the time? Especially in the shorter winter days?
Do you like mucking out?
Where are you going to keep the horse? Livery is convenient, but will cost more, if you don’t own a field there are land rental fees to consider. Also horses and ponies like company, can you share facilities?
Can you afford it? The costs to consider are bedding, hay, regular worming, regular shoeing, tack, rugs, vaccinations and insurance.
Do have or need horse transport.
Do you know anything about horses?
Pros
Fullfilling a life long dream/passion.
Good exercise and time spent out in the fresh air.
You are able to ride whenever you want to.
Good equestrian social life.
Teaches children/young adults how to be responsible for another living being.
Teaches you how to budget for what you really want.
Encourages teamwork.
So much to consider, but definitely not something to rush into without lots of research. Lots of things can be sourced through AdTrader horses for sale or AdTrader Horse Equipment. Also a good way to get started is to share or Loan a horse, split the cost and the care, sounds good to me.
