Thinking of getting a new puppy?

This isn't something that you should rush into with out a great deal of thought. The RSPCA have a a great website which will help you out and guide you in your choice. Get Puppy Smart gives lots of hints and tips.
  • Remember - always see the puppy with it's mother at it's home.
  • The puppy must not leave it's mother until it is at least 8 weeks old.
  • The puppy must be vaccinated and wormed - and the owner should have the records. Check them carefully.
  • The puppy will be like it's parents, watch how they behave. If they are highly excitable or nervous, the puppy may be too.
  • If having the KC reg papers is part of the agreed price make sure that you get them when you pick the puppy up.
  • As soon as possible have your puppy micro chipped.
AdTrader have lots of lovely puppies advertised, there will be the "perfect pet" out there for you, just take some time to find the right one. Or, why not adopt a rescue dog, or an older dog that the owners can no longer care for. Many rescues let you take pets on loan to see if you suit each other - can't be bad!
