The Team at Adtrader have been working hard down in the dungeons – to make the AdTrader website even easier to use! Have you checked it out? You asked for easier, faster, better site searches and we listened. It is now easier and quicker to search and much more productive.

There are new filters on the left hand side showing you all of the categories that your searched item is in, you can choose ads with photos, without photos, whether you are looking for Sale items or customers that Want that item.
Search by town, county, price and distance, the choice is yours.
If you are selling items it’s so quick and easy to place your ad and it’ll go live straight away. The ad will be in your My Ads account and you are incharge, edit, rebook, enhance or delete at your will.

Watch out! More changes are on the way – just for you - to enhance your selling and buying experience and make it so simple the AdTrader way!

So many classifications, so little time…

The AdTrader team have been busy (is that unusual I hear you ask)? Prompted by your requests we have now provided loads more classifications for you to choose from. Now it is much easier to choose the correct classification to place your adverts in and to search through.
The Pets and Animals classification now includes such things as Poultry for sale, Finches and Canaries, Dog Cages and Accessories, not to mention Horse Carts and Carriages and Stable Hands.
Leisure and Lifestyle now includes Snooker and Pool, Boxing and Martial arts and as well as Boats for sale we now have Boat Accessories and equipment.
Looking for Property or selling /renting your own, there are lots new classifications under Property and Rentals, from Land for Sale to Retirement Accommodation.
Virtually everything that you need or want under the sun is available on AdTrader. If you are offering a service – be noticed, place your ad in the relevant classification.

Scottish AdTrader is an amazing 20 years old this week. It started out in life as Scottish Supermart and was renamed along with the other titles to AdTrader in 2001.

Want to do swapsies?

AdTrader have further enhanced our Property classifications, it is now even easier to advertise a Property Exchange. For Council residents we’ve got dedicated classifications of Council Flat Exchange and Council House Exchange, together with other Flat and House exchanges.
Don’t forget when you are writing your advert to take your time and list all of the lovely things about your property and include the features in your ad – go for it you’ve 200 words to play with online and a shorter free ad in the mag.

• Why you want to move – downsizing?
• Is it council or Housing Association?
• Size of the garden?
• How many bedrooms?
• Close to schools and shops and public transport?
• Does it have a parking space allocated?
• Is the flat in the catchment area of a good school – well worth a mention.
• Where you want to move to and why.
• Is the property Warden controlled?
• What decorative state it is in and what you are leaving behind.

Take lots of photos of your property you can have 9 online and a Youtube video, there are all free to upload to your ad and it makes all the difference - people will be much more interested if they can see what your property is really like.

Fresh air and freedom - let's go camping.

Summer is here – time to fish out the camping gear and plan your trips. Camping has got to be one of the cheapest ways of holidaying and AdTrader is a rich source of camping gear. From tents - basic 2 man jobs for when you hit those festivals, to more luxurious family sized 8 berth frame tents, or trailer tent. You will also need the bare essentials such as sleeping bags, air bed, pillows.
Unless you plan to eat out a lot, the Master chef amongst you will require a camping stove or bbq, some pots, pans, plates, cutlery etc, not to mention the essential bottle and tin openers. (Don’t forget the bottles though)!
Useful extras – which could turn into essentials, are a First Aid kit, insect repellent, map and compass and folding chairs and tables. If you are a first timer check out camping websites for ideas and tips.
Depending on how active you intend being, bikes, canoes and fishing gear all help keep the kids occupied and unless you own a large car or van why not invest in a trailer? Grab the sat nav, pack the dog and off you go.
