• Be precise about what you want, give an idea of make and model if possible.
• State how much you are willing to pay, so that no one approaches you with silly prices.
• Make it clear that you are willing to negotiate on price
• If you only want to view local items say that in the advert.
• Give an indication of what kind of condition you are going to accept.
• If it is an electrical item check it over carefully before buying.
• If it's a popular item - iPhone etc beware of scammers.
